Divisions (by Season)

SPRING

A fun introduction to baseball for players ages 5 and 6 by April 30

AYBS is a member of Little League Baseball and follows the age guidelines provided by their programs. There are 4 divisions:

A Baseball is an instructional league for players age 7 by April 30
AA Baseball is an instructional league for players age 8 by April 30
AAA Baseball is the first level of competitive baseball for players ages 9 and 10 by April 30
Majors Baseball is the highest level of Little League baseball for players ages 11 and 12 by April 30

Sr. Baseball

This program introduces players ages 13 - 15 to baseball on a large diamond.

Softball

This program introduces players to fast pitch softball. These programs follow ASA rules.

AA Softball is an instructional league for players enrolled in grades K- 2.
AAA Softball is an instructional league for players enrolled in grades 3 & 4.

Ashland is a member of the Tri-Valley Softball League. The Majors program offers instruction and fundamentals along with competitive interaction with other towns. These programs follow ASA rules.

Majors 5/6 Softball is competitive and instructional travel league for players enrolled in grades 5 & 6.
Majors 7/8 Softball is competitive and instructional travel league for players enrolled in grades 7 & 8.

SUMMER

Little League Baseball

AYBS offers opportunities through several tournament teams including:

Sparkler for 8 year olds
Sizzler for 9-12 year olds
Tondorf for 9-12 year olds
Williamsport for 12 year olds

Sr. Baseball

AYBS participates in the Tri-Valley Babe Ruth League for 13-16 year olds and the Central Mass Babe Ruth League for 15-18 year olds.

Softball

Twin Valley Softball - AYBS participates in the Twin Valley softball league for girls ages 17 and under. These programs follow ASA rules.

Sandlot Softball - AYBS offers a fun and instructional pick up softball league for children of all ages from early July through the middle of August.
